HANCOCK COUNTY — Hancock Health needs residents’ help to complete a survey regarding the community’s health needs.

Hancock Health, which encompasses Hancock Regional Hospital, the Hancock Regional Hospital Foundation and Hancock Physician Network, must conduct the survey every three years according to federal guidelines from the Affordable Care Act, passed in 2010, officials said. Officials plan to use the data from the survey to create a community health improvement plan.

Hancock Health staff aim to have at least 3,500 people, or five percent of Hancock County residents, take the survey, officials said. It is open through the end of April and can be accessed online at surveymonkey.com/r/HancockCountyCommunityHealthNeedsAssessment.

Paper versions of the survey are available at the Hancock County Health Department office, 111 American Legion Place, Hancock County Senior Services, 1870 Fields Blvd., and at Hancock Physician Network offices.
