Adam A. Curtis, 36, of Cumberland, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017, in a tragic motorcycle accident in Hancock County. He was born November 6, 1980, in Indianapolis, to Melvin E. and Joni (Williams) Curtis.

He was a 1999 graduate of Warren Central High School and received his Welding Certification from Walker Career Center.

Adam was a maintenance mechanic at Kroger Dairy. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, working on and riding motorcycles, camping and watching bad movies. He touched the lives of every person he met.

Adam will be greatly missed by his parents, Melvin and Joni Curtis of Cumberland; sister, Allyson (Jeff) Curtis Sholl of Cincinnati, Ohio; brother, Eric (Alysha) Curtis and daughters, Zahiya and Calliope of Wanamaker, Ind.; nieces; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He also leaves behind the love of his life, Jayne Love, and their puppies, Arthur and Riley.

Adam was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clancy (Buck) and LaDonna (Settles) Williams of Cumberland; and paternal grandparents, Ralph and Anna (Allen) Curtis of Greenfield.

Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, at Cumberland First Baptist Church, 116 S Muessing St. The family will greet friends and loved ones beginning at 2 p.m. until the time of service. Reverend T. Wyatt Watkins will be officiating. A pitch-in dinner will follow.
