Shirley June McCall, 82, of Greenfield, passed away April 9, 2017, in Bonita Springs, Fla. She was born June 29, 1934, in Beech Grove, Ind., to William and Thelma Sargent Davis.

Shirley graduated from Warren Central High School in 1953 and married her high school sweetheart, Larry McCall December 26, 1953. Her life was devoted to her husband and children and she loved cooking and entertaining, especially for her family. Everyone enjoyed her warm hospitality.

Shirley worked as a school secretary for Warren Township Schools and was always busy serving others. She was her daughters’ Brownie and Girl Scout troop leader for 12 years creating many fond memories. As a member of Health Hills Baptist Church, she was active in choir, her Sunday school group, Joy Seekers, and the Young at Heart Group. She enjoyed her winter months at Woodsmoke Camping Resort in Fort Myers, Fla. (for over 30 years) where she sang in the choir, played bingo, Pokeno & euchre with her sister. With her warm smile, sweet and kind spirit, Shirley brightened the lives of everyone she came in contact with.

Shirley is survived by her children, Judie Hodge (Mike), Gary McCall (Lisa), Pam Hannefey (Mike); sister, Margie Armstrong; brother, Steve Davis; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving Husband, Lawrence E. McCall.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, April 14, at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 15, at Heather Hills Baptist Church, 1421 N. German Church Rd, Indianapolis.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen, 202 E. Main St. Greenfield, IN 46140 (where she volunteered) and/or Heather Hills Baptist Church.
