Willard ‘Todge’ Miller

Willard “Todge” Miller, 85, of Wilkinson, went home to be with the Lord on the morning of Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Kindred Transitional Care in Greenfield. He was born June 5, 1931, in Russell Springs, Ky., a son of the late Rufus and Arissa “Sissy” (Stephens) Miller.

Todge was a hard worker and worked for 30 years at the Shirley Feed Mill. On December 27, 1952, he married the love of his life, Elsie “Glenna” (Riley) Miller and enjoyed 54 years of marriage. Todge faithfully served the Lord for over 50 years and often referred to his Bible as “his roadmap.” He attended Grace Holiness Church in Anderson. When Todge was younger he enjoyed coon hunting with his dad, his son, his son-in-law, and grandsons.

He is survived by his three children, Gae Becraft of Greenfield, Darrell (Tonda) Miller of Shirley and South Africa and Dinah (Ron) Jackman of Sumner, Ill.; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Miller of Morehead, Ky.; grandchildren, Clint Becraft, Jennifer (Craig) Douglas, Vanessa Overhouser, Andrew (Brenda) Miller, Daniel (Marta) Miller, Mea (T Ray) Pine, Sonya (David) Alverson, Joshua (wife: Sabrina) Miller, Justin (Sarah) Jackman and Jordan (fiancé, Leeza) Jackman; numerous great-grandchildren; a brother, Bill (Margaret) Miller; sisters, Leva Riley and Peggy (Dale) Lane and many nieces and nephews.

Todge was preceded in death by his wife, Glenna Miller, on November 24, 2007; a son, Randy Miller, in August, 2005; a son-in-law, Mark Becraft; a great-grandson, T.J. Pine; a sister, Pearlie Poppelwell; and a brother, Philip Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 12, at Sproles Family Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Miller and Pastor Tim Wiford officiating. Burial will follow in Harlan Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service, Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to either the Hancock Regional Hospice or the Afrikaskop Mission Centre with envelopes available at the funeral home.
