Kathryn L. Pell, 82, of Greenfield, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Springhurst Health Campus. She was born on May 19, 1934, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, as the daughter of Vernon and Jean (Hardegen) Stephenson.
Kathryn married Robert A. Pell on November 8, 1952. She was a devoted mother and housewife who saw much of Europe during her husband’s deployment with the Army. She was a member of ABC Club, Greenfield and involved with Hancock County 4-H. Kathryn enjoyed playing euchre and bingo and loved watching basketball, especially IU, Duke and Butler.
Kathryn is survived by her sons, Robert A. “Buster” Pell, Jr., and wife Karen, of North Carolina and Brian K. Pell, and wife Rosemarie, of Willow Branch; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and three grandpuppies.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Jean Stephenson; and husband, Robert Pell.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, at the mortuary. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
