Abigail K. Rejer, 15, of New Palestine, passed away March 30, 2017. She was born on September 9, 2001, in Indianapolis, a blessed gift to her parents Richard and Kristi Rejer.

Abby was a student at New Palestine High School. She excelled academically, and spoke so highly of her teachers that she seemed to consider them great friends. Abby played the french horn at school in the concert and pep bands, but also played piano, ukulele, and guitar. She volunteered at the Hancock County Public Library. She loved animals of any kind, watching television under her assortment of blankets, talking to friends, listening to music, reading and loved to drive anywhere at any time. Abby’s sense of humor is certain to provide lasting memories for all of us who were so privileged to have spent time with her. She will be deeply and sorrowfully missed, but Abby’s sunshine will continue to break through anything and shine down eternally.

Abby is survived by her brothers, Alex, Andrew, and Evan Rejer of New Palestine; and her grandparents, Richard and Gloria Rejer of Indianapolis, Doris McHargue of Indianapolis, and Wayne and Edwina McHargue of Fishers. Aunts and Uncles include Randy (Julia) Rejer of New Palestine; Don (Debbie) Miller of Fishers; and Jeff (Jill) Mathews of Carmel, and Kevin (Joyce) Rusnak of Indianapolis. Her loving cousins and their children reside in various cities across the U.S.

Visitation was held from 3 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 3, at Indian Creek Christian Church. Services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 4, at Indian Creek Christian Church, 6430 S. Franklin Road, Indianapolis, IN 46259. Officiating was Pastor Gary Johnson.
