GREENFIELD — Community members looking for information on where to turn for help after they’ve been a victim of a crime may attend a panel discussion Tuesday hosted by area law enforcement.

The Hancock County Prosecutor’s Office will hold its annual victims’ rights event from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Hancock County Annex, 111 American Legion Way, Greenfield.

April 2 to 8 is National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Justice. This year’s theme revolves around strength, resilience and justice.

Organizers said they hope the event will further victims’ understanding of their rights. Local investigators and victim advocates will on hand to answer questions and share advice. Families whose loved ones lost their lives to crime in 2016 will be recognized and remembered.
