Kenneth David Miller, 62, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017, at his home In Carthage, Indiana, by the side of his wife of 42 years, Debe (Jack). Ken was born in Henry County Hospital on May 19, 1954, to Gene and Carrie Jo (Mullican) Miller.

He graduated from Rushville Consolidated High School in 1972 and continued his education at Purdue, earning a degree in Agriculture Mechanization in 1977. During his time in college, Ken married Debe on November 23, 1974, in Greenfield.

After graduating, Ken and Debe began their family, while Ken continued on with the University as an ag research technician specializing in vegetable planters and harvesting. Ken continued to apply his education on the family farm where he and Debe raised their two kids, Joshua and Jessica (Durbin). After 27 years on the family farm, Ken started his own business, Accusplice, which specialized in fiber optic splicing.

Ken is survived by his wife, Debe; his mother, Carrie Jo Miller; his son, Joshua (Starr) Miller; daughter, Jessica (Kevin) Durbin; brothers, Doug (Judy), Shawn, and Blaine (Beth); and sister, Betsy (significant other, Harold Williams). The joy of Kenny’s life was his family including his four grandchildren,Jaeda Miller, Harper Miller, Grant Durbin, Nash Durbin; numerous nieces and nephews, and teaching them all to fish.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 28, at Todd Funeral Centre and Crematory, 1600 S. St. Rd 3, Rushville, IN 46173. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 29, at the First Presbyterian Church (226 N Morgan St, Rushville, IN 46173.

Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
