Letter: General Assembly has failed Indiana

To the editor:

The state legislature is owned and paid for by the special interests and the lobbyists and has been for decades. The only time most of them even pretend to care about real issues that might help the voters is at election time.

The gerrymandering bill that died had zero chance from the start, as would any bill that offers to change the cozy status quo and interrupt the flow of “donations” our fine legislators receive from their real owners.

Sadly, only the people who gain from this situation can change it, and you can be sure that is not going to happen any time soon.
