Extras sought for Riley documentary

BLOOMINGTON —WTIU Public Television is looking for extras to appear in a documentary about Greenfield’s native son, “James Whitcomb Riley: Hoosier Poet.” WTIU will film a segment at 6:30 p.m. March 23 at the Tivoli Theatre, 24 N. Washington St., in Spencer. Doors to the theater will open at 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Actor Ronald Keaton will portray Riley and perform readings of his poetry. Extras who attend dressed in period clothing from 1870 to 1910 will be placed closer to the stage. Those interested in being an extra should contact [email protected] to receive a packet with complete instructions on appropriate period clothing with photo examples.

The documentary premieres this August on WTIU.
