GREENFIELD — The Greenfield City Council plans to tweak a proposed ordinance that would ban backyard archery.

At the council meeting this week, members voted to table a previously drafted ordinance that would have banned all backyard archery after hearing some complaints from constituents concerned about the ordinance.

Some members said they’d like the ordinance to be looked at further, given that some residents have plenty of land to safely shoot bows. Others said small bows should be able to be used by kids who are learning archery.

It’s slated to be revisited at the next council meeting March 22.
