The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four time annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports

Jan. 27

O’Charley’s

Location: 1933 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C – dish machine is not sanitizing properly, corrected/service called.

Tour of Italy

Location: 5 American Legion Place, Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C – food contact surfaces are being contaminated, employee observed putting on gloves without washing hands before, some utensils being stored between equipment crevices, to be corrected by Jan. 28; NC/R – wiping cloths need to be stored in sanitizer between uses, corrected; C/R – employee drinks need to be covered and stored way from food and clean dishes, corrected; NC – drinking glasses need to air dry before storage, to be corrected by April 1.
