Bikes in Bloom program seeks local participants

GREENFIELD — Greenfield Main Street is seeking local non-profits that would like to submit a bike for this year’s fourth annual Bikes in Bloom display throughout downtown Greenfield. Bikes promoting the local non-profits will be on display May 6 through June 10. Greenfield Main Street is also asking for bike donations. Those interested in displaying a bike or those with bikes to donate should email [email protected] by March 31.

Deadline for children’s theater program nears

HANCOCK COUNTY — Applications for the 2017 Hancock County Children’s Theater Workshop are now available for students in grades four through eight at all Hancock County elementary schools and middle schools. This year’s production is “Peter Pan: A Musical Adventure.” The Theater Workshop will meet daily at Greenfield-Central High School, 810 N. Broadway, from 8:30 a.m. until noon May 31 through June 23. Performances will be at 7 p.m. June 23 and 24. The deadline for application submission is March 10. The cost for children accepted to the workshop is $100. Vawter art competition looks for county entries

GREENFIELD — The Hancock County Arts Council invites Hoosier artists to participate in the 2017 Will Vawter Art Competition and Exhibit. Artists may submit up to three entries in the categories of oil and acrylic, watercolor and other 2-D media for a $35 registration fee. Entries must be postmarked by March 25. Prizes range from $100 to $1,000. The exhibit runs April 7 through May 12 at the Twenty North Gallery, 20 N.
