GREENFIELD – Greenfield Utilities is updating its online bill payment system.

The office is moving to a mobile and web application called SmartHub that will enable residents to securely make payments from their phones or computers and communicate with the office through the app.

The current online bill pay portal is currently closed for maintenance. The new portal is expected to be running by Monday.

Invoices with a March 5 due date will be extended to close of business on Wednesday, and penalties will not be assessed on these accounts until after 4 p.m. Wednesday.

In the meantime, residents can pay their bills by mail, at the utility office at city hall, 10 S. State St., or at the bill dropboxes at city hall.
