Everett Guffey, 85, of Avon, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 27, 2017. He was born on May 19, 1931, in Clay County, Tenn., as the son of Lee and Ova (Testament) Guffey.
Everett is survived by his wife, Jean Guffey of Avon; daughters, Patricia Ann (Mark) Harris of New Palestine and Debra Kay (Rickey) Eads of Greenfield; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one brother; three sisters; six stepchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; and nine great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bessie Lee Guffey; parents, Lee and Ova Guffey; a granddaughter; three brothers; and one sister.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 6, at the mortuary. Reverend Doug Barnes and Reverend Michael Samson will be officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
