County children’s theater selects familiar favorite

HANCOCK COUNTY — Applications for the 2017 Hancock County Children’s Theater Workshop are now available for students in grades four through eight at all Hancock County elementary schools and middle schools. This year’s production is “Peter Pan: A Musical Adventure.” The Theater Workshop will meet daily at Greenfield-Central High School, 810 N. Broadway, from 8:30 a.m. until noon May 31 through June 23. Performances will be at 7 p.m. June 23 and 24. The deadline for application submission is March 10. The cost for children accepted to the workshop is $100. Will Vawter art contest calls for Hoosier entries

GREENFIELD — The Hancock County Arts Council invites Hoosier artists to participate in the 2017 Will Vawter Art Competition and Exhibit. Artists may submit up to three entries in the categories of oil and acrylic, watercolor and other 2-D media for a $35 registration fee. Entries must be postmarked by March 25. Prizes range from $100 to $1,000. The exhibit runs April 7 through May 12 at the Twenty North Gallery, 20 N. Area club welcomes photography ethicists

McCORDSVILLE — The McCordsville Photo Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the McCordsville Town Hall, 6280 W. County Road 800N. Club participation is free and open to anyone, but attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The meeting will cover camera basics and critiquing.
