Sarah C. (Church) Bolling, 76, of Fountaintown, passed away February 24, 2017, at Community Hospital North. She was born on November 30, 1940, in Indianapolis as the daughter of Walter Joseph Church and Marie (Cox) Church.
She graduated from New Palestine High School in 1959. She worked for Western Electric, which later changed to Lucent Technology, as a Line Operator for 25 years before retiring in 1987. Mrs. Bolling was a member of Shadeland Baptist Church in Indianapolis and had been active in Hancock County Senior Center for many years. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, going on church trips, and going out to eat.
She is survived by her daughters, Vonda Bartholomew of Fountaintown and Ronda (Gary) Kehrt of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Doyle D. Miller Jr.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday March 3, at the mortuary. Pastor Randall Morris will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, 621 S State St, Greenfield, IN 46140.
