Cynthia “Cindy” Ann Althoff, 65, of Spencer, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at Owen Valley Health Campus. She was born in Witchita, Ks., on August 28, 1951, the daughter of Thuman Nyle Dunham and Clara Mae (Roberson) Dunham.

She was a 1969 graduate of Northwest High School in Indianapolis. Cindy was a member of First Baptish Church of Spencer. She was very active in her church and in the community. She really loved working with New Beginnings.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Ralph Althoff of Spencer; daughter Julie (Shawn Toms) Fox of Indianapolis; son, Steve Prouse of Indianapolis; stepchildren, Tony (Tracy) Althoff, Shawn (Tanya) Althoff, Jennifer (Chris) Platts all of Greenfield; six sisters, Barbara Hitchcock, Jeanie Bledsoe, Joni (Randy) Althoff, Pam (Paul Gawn) Gray, Suzie Thompson, and Amy Holton; several nieces and nephews; and loving friends, Heidi Fern, and longtim friend for over 52 years, Connie Bragg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; newphew, Rodney Dunham; and brother-in-law, Charlie Bledsoe.

Visitation will be held from Noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, February, 25, at First Baptist Church in Spencer. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, at the church, with Paster Randy McCollum officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer.
