Sandra Kay (Fields) Low Barbera, 76, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017, at St. Vincent Heart Center. She was born on September 26, 1940, in Anderson as the daughter of Russell R. and Marie H. (Hunt) Fields.
She graduated from Warren Central High in 1958 and attended Cosmetology School. Sandra married Andrea “Andy” Barbera on January 25, 1986, in Greenfield.
She owned Mary Janes and New Image Salons where she was a beautician for over 50 years. Sandy was a member of Sigma Beta Rho Chapter Sorority. She loved sewing, remodeling houses and spending time with her family.
Sandra is survived by her sons, Rusty (Terry) Low and Dean (Paula) Low both of Greenfield; daughter, Darla Conley of Greenfield; brother, Phil “Shorty” Fields of Eden, Ind.; six grandchildren, Caleb, Jacob, Charles, Lindsay, Brooke and Branden; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Marie Fields; husband, Andy Barbera; and great-grandson, Jaxsten Conley.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 24, at the mortuary. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
