Bette J. Kopp, 94, of Knightstown, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born May 10, 1922, in New Castle, a daughter of John Paul and Hattie (Fleming) Cooper.

Bette was valedictorian of the 1940 class of Knightstown High School where she was a cheerleader, played in the band and was an active member of the Alumni Association. She had been a member of the Knightstown United Methodist Church and a choir member for over 50 years. She worked at Citizens National Bank and retired from Bank One. Bette was a member of Tri Kappa and loved playing bridge with her bridge club. She enjoyed vacationing in Pigeon Forge with her late husband, Alvin. She loved spending time with her family especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a family person all the way.

She is survived by children, Jack (Leah) Kopp of Bradenton, Fla., Jerry (Stacy) Kopp of Knightstown; grandchildren, Eric (Aimee) Kopp of Louisville, Ky., Jason (Christy) Kopp of Knightstown, Jennifer McGee of Bradenton, Fla., Eliza Aguilar of Wannamaker, Forrest (Kelly) Plank of Greenfield, Matthew (Xanthe) Kopp of Anderson, Kendra (Brad) Groce of Straughn; great-grandchildren, Vanessa Plank (Companion, Jaylan Marburgh) of Wannamaker, Jackson Plank of Wannamaker, Quincy and Jalyn Kopp of Knightstown, Vincent Plank of Bradenton, Fla., Dianna and Nate Kopp of Louisville, Ky., Payton Plank of Greenfield, Olivia and Ivan Kopp of Anderson, Kenley and Klay Groce of Straughn; and two nieces.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin E. Kopp; and a sister, Lillian Danner.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m., Monday, February, 20, at the Knightstown United Methodist Church. Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, February 20, at the church with Pastors Brian Campbell and Curt Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.
