Salvadore “Sam” Serio, 71, of Beaumont, died Sunday, February 12, 2017. He was born on April 1, 1945, in Beaumont, to Elner Marie Bryant Serio and Henry Sam Serio.

Sam worked as a salesman for the Seven Up and Dr. Pepper Company of Texas for over fifty years. He was a faithful member of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church in Beaumont, The Knights of Columbus, and Sacred Heart of Jesus at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Sam was considered a loving father to all who knew him.

Sam is survived by his daughters, Sherry Bowman and her husband, James, Sammie Jones and her husband, Ron, and Sally Serio and her boyfriend, Chris; grandson, James Serio and his wife, Jenna; great-grandson, Ayden Serio, with another great-grandchild on the way; sisters, Vivian Bishop and her husband, Barrett, Henrietta Jackson; and Marie Mosley; sister-in-law, Patricia Krolczyx and her husband, Harry; nieces and nephews, Vickie Marie, Barry Bishop, Cliff Bishop, and Mickie Janise, as well as many other nieces and nephews; and cousin, who was more like a brother, Vedon Otto.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of forty years, Sally Jean Wheat Serio; and sister, Elizabeth Serio.

The family would like to thank Tony and Linda Nicholas and Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas for their great care of Sam.

Mr. Serio’s funeral arrangements were held in Beaumont, Texas under the direction of, Broussard’s Mortuary, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
