Arnold R. Turpin, 94, of Greensboro, Ind., passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center in New Castle. He was born April 22, 1922, in Somerset, Ky., to the late Alonzo and Nancy Pearl (Sutherland) Turpin.

Arnold is survived by his wife of 64 years, Eva Coleen (Lee) Turpin; five sons, Joseph A. (Beth) Turpin of Greenfield, Jon B. (Linda) Turpin of Cambridge City, George Scott (Beth) Turpin of Seymour, Stephen (Liz) Turpin of Etowah, NC, James (Laura) Turpin of Greensboro; two daughters, Debra (Pat) Fausset of Shirley and Lee Annette (Danny) Douglas of New Castle; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Ford of Indianapolis and Opal Lindley of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd Turpin and Cameron Paul Turpin; grandson, Andrew Robert Turpin; brothers-in-law, James Ford, Darrell House, Bill Lindley, Carl Stonerock, and Donnie Wallace; sister-in-law, Doris Wallace.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 17, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 18, at the funeral home with Reverend Gene Bennett and Pastor Danny Douglas officiating. Burial will follow at Hicksite Cemetery in Greensboro.
