The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four time annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

Jan. 18

Lincoln Square Pancake House

Location: 118 W. Main St., Greenfield

Type of inspection: Routine

Violations found: NC – need to have disposable paper towels in employee restroom, corrected; NC – store wiping cloths in sanitizer between uses, corrected.

Jan. 19

KFC

Location: 1604 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of inspection: Routine

Violations found: NC/R – coving in chicken prep cooler and other areas needs to be repaired, to be corrected by April 1.

Jan. 20

Aramak at Elanco

Location: 2500 Innovation Way, Greenfield

Type of inspection: Routine

Violations found: C – expired milk, corrected/discarded; C – working spray bottles need to be labeled with common chemical name, corrected.

Subway

Location: 323 S. Oak St., Fortville

Type of inspection: Routine

Violations found: C – meatball on line not hot enough, corrected/food discarded.

Elks Club

Location: 820 S. State St., Greenfield

Type of inspection: Routine

Violations found: NC – make thin tip food thermometer available, to be corrected by April 1.

Huck’s Convenience Food & Fuel

Location: 322 E. Broadway St., Fortville

Type of inspection: Routine

Violations found: C – chili sauce/cheese not hot enough, corrected/discarded, machine not working.
