McCordsville church to serve dinner, breakfast

McCORDSVILLE — McCordsville United Methodist Church will serve a community dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 11) at the church, 6247 W. Broadway.

The menu features beef and noodles.

The church will also serve a community breakfast from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Feb. 18 at the church.

Donations will be accepted at both events.

CUMBERLAND — St. John United Church of Christ will serve a free community dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the church, 11910 E. Prospect St.

Group offers respite for New Pal parents

NEW PALESTINE — The King’s Table ministry of New Palestine Bible Church will offer a time of activities and sensory play for children with disabilities and their siblings from 1 to 4 p.m. Feb. 18 at the church’s ministry center, 5954 W. County Road 300S.

The ministry offers these sessions as a possible respite for parents. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. for some meet-and-greet time. Parents are welcome to remain for all or part of the time, or they can take some time for themselves while their children enjoy themselves.

There is no cost to attend, but parents should fill out a registration form at newpalestinebiblechurch.org/kings-table-ministry.

Local ministry seeks donated furniture

GREENFIELD — A local furniture ministry needs donations of specific types of furniture and appliances that have run low in its warehouse.

St. Michael Catholic Church coordinates the furniture ministry, partnering with Love INC. In some categories, there is a waiting list for items.

These are the items sought:

Any bed frame — twin, full or queen

Full-size box spring — full

Mattresses — twin or full

Washers and dryers

Dressers or chests of drawers

Call Love INC at 317-468-6300 if you have any of these items to donate and want to arrange a time for pick-up.

Game Night welcomes friends, families

GREENFIELD — Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church will offer Game Night at 5:30 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 11) at the church, 3447 South State Road 9. Bring your favorite game, snack and soda to share. Iced tea and lemonade will be provided. The public is invited.

Singing event includes familiar gospel tunes

KNIGHTSTOWN — Russell Van Winkle and Friends will sing at 6 p.m. Feb. 18 as part of the monthly gospel sing at Knightstown Church of God, 405 North St.
