Helen Putty, 83, of New Palestine, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017. She was born January 13, 1934, in Temperance Hall, Tenn.
Helen attended the New Palestine United Methodist Church for nearly 50 years and had been active in various church roles for decades. She enjoyed shopping and painting.
She is survived by four children, Anthony (Teresa) Putty, Dr. Tim (Dee) Putty, Roger (Connie) Putty, Tracy Follstad; her sister, Beverly Houchins; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Putty was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Putty; her mother, Willie Midgett and beloved stepfather, Tommy Driver.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m., Thursday February 2, at Hendryx Mortuary 19 E. Main St, New Palestine, IN 46163 with Roger Holder to preside. Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery.
