The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four time annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

Jan. 17

Lincoln Square Pancake House

Location: 901 E. Broadway, Fortville

Type of inspection: Routine

Violations found: C/R – need ice surrounding butter, sour cream, etc. containers, corrected; C – need to date-mark potentially hazardous foods held longer than 24 hours at 41 degrees or below, corrected; NC – need to clean container holding ice scoop to maintain clean and protected location, corrected; NC – plumbing needs to be maintained in good repair, hand sink by grill is too hot, cold water turned off due to leak, to be corrected by April 1.

Dollar General

Location: 425 W. Broadway, Fortville

Type of inspection: Routine

Violations found: C – expired baby formula and baby formula without expiration date information, corrected/discarded.
