Vivian E. Hays, 82, of Anderson, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017, at Community Hospital. Vivian was born on January 28, 1934, in Lapel to Charles and Mary (Smith) Moore.
On February 19, 1956, she married the love of her life Paul E. Hays. Vivian worked for Citizen’s Gas and retired from Anderson School Corporation after 30 years of service where she worked as a Teacher’s Aid and Clerk of the Resource Center. She was a member of Frankton Christian Church.
Vivian is survived by her loving husband, of 61 years, Paul Hays of Anderson; two sons, Ty (Peggy) Hays of Greenfield and Doyle (Lisa Fisk) Hays of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Erin Hays, Matthew Hays, Christopher Hays, Kaitlyn Hays, and Zachary Hays; two sisters, Verla Wright of Anderson and Shirley DiRuzza of New Haven; brother, Mike (Nelma) Moore of Anderson, several nieces and nephews.
Vivian was preceded in death by her father, Charles Moore; mother, Mary Moore; and a sister, Barbara Paul.
Visitation will be Wednesday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Frankton Christian Church. Funeral service celebrating Vivian’s life will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, January 25, at the Frankton Christian Church, 206 Church St., Frankton, IN with Pastor Roger Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Frankton Christian Church.
