Bonnie L. Martinez, 78, of Ingalls, passed away Monday, January 23, 2017, at her home. She was born January 28, 1938, in Steubenville, Ky., to Woodrow C. and Maggie K. (Winchester) Black.
Bonnie was a homemaker, but had also worked at Methodist Hospital, Liberty Mutual Insurance. She was a member of the R.E.A.L. Community Church of God and worked in their daycare program.
She is survived by husband Jose “Panchito” Martinez whom she married June 3, 1961 in Indianapolis; daughters, Elena M. (David) Johnson and Frances E. Martinez both of Ingalls; grandchildren, Duane Johnson, Courtney (Mark) Michael, Karmi Conn; great-grandchildren, Kole Johnson, Hunter Johnson, Kaleb Leppink, Spencer Leppink, Easton Michael, Josie Conn and Harlow Conn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Charles Black.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, at the R.E.A.L. Community Church of God in Ingalls. A celebration of Bonnie’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 27, at the church with Rev. Woodrow Alley officiating. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
