Thomas Keith Crider, 93, of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017, at his home. He was born on April 27, 1923, in Shelbyville as the son of Rev. Forrest E. and Blanch O. (Sherman) Crider.

He graduated from Charlottesville High School in 1942. Mr. Crider served in the Army during WWII in 1942 to 1945. He married Frances I. (McQueeney) on March 4, 1949.

Keith was the co-owner of Criders Drive-In Restaurant for over 25 years. He also worked for Western Electric and Warren Township Schools for six years. Mr. Crider was a member of Greenfield Christian Church, American Legion #119 and Elks Lodge #1720. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching IU Basketball and Colts football.

Keith is survived by his sons, David (Martha) Crider of Greenfield and Steven Crider (Phillip Peasley) of Louisville, Ky.; sister-in-law, Janice Crider of New Castle; granddaughters, Carri Crider and Molly (Eric) Belling; great-grandchildren, Emma, Jacob and Riley Belling; and several nieces and nephews.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Blanch Crider; wife, Frances I. Crider; brothers, Maurice Crider, Glen Crider and twin brother, Kenneth Crider; infant brother, Dale Crider; infant sister, Helen Crider; and great-grandson, Peyton Belling.

Visitation will be held from Noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 23, also at the mortuary. Rev. Frank Everett will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Full military rites will be presented by the Greenfield Veterans Honor Guard.
