Plants gone wild at Footlite Musicals

INDIANAPOLIS — Footlite Musicals invites audience members to Mushnik’s Flowers where a shop clerk named Seymour Krelborn dreams of fame, fortune and love with his secret crush, co-worker Audrey (played by New Palestine native Emily Schaab.) But Audrey keeps falling for the wrong men, particularly a sadistic dentist. In his quest for something better, Seymour finds and cares for a strange plant that he names Audrey II. The mysterious plant has dreams of its own, and promises Seymour whatever his heart wants if he only ‘feeds the plant.’ This dark musical comedy plays through Jan. 29 at Footlite Musicals, 1847 N.
