Hobart G. Lankford, 76, of New Palestine, passed away January 16, 2017, at his home. He was born October 10, 1940, in Clay City, Ind., to parents Hobart Lankford and Ruth Vogel.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy (Nugent) Lankford; sons, Rob Lankford, Kirk Lankford; daughter, Holly (Glen) Johnson; brother, David Bailey; three grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jerry Lankford.
Services will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, at the New Palestine United Methodist Church, 3565 S 500 W, New Palestine, IN. Visitation will be from 1:00 until the time of service at the church. Officiating will be Pastor Mark Wesler.
