The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually, and violations are labeled “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

Dec. 27

Culver’s

Location: 1846 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: C — front line that holds packaged sour cream and dressings is too warm, corrected.

Legacy Cinema

Location: 2347 W. Main St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: C — mark working containers with common name of cleaner or sanitizer, corrected.

Dec. 28

Ro’s Bar & Grill

Location: 1514 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: NC/R — wiping cloths need to be stored in sanitizer between uses, to be corrected by Jan. 1; NC/R — lights that are not working need to be repaired/replaced, to be corrected by March 1; NC — handle of ice scoop in ice at bar, corrected.

Speedway

Location: 335 Broadway St., Fortville

Type of Inspection: Routine

No violations found.

Dec. 30

Arby’s

Location: 1705 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: C — when filling containers of potentially hazardous food, put fresh food into clean container, corrected; C — when food is not being hot held, must indicate the time the food is put on line and when to discard, corrected.

Jan. 4

Wings, Etc. Grill and Pub

Location: 1925 Melody Lane, Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: C — need to wash hands after handling dirty dishes and before handling clean, corrected; C/R — hot held foods must be held at 135 degrees or higher, corrected; C — meats held in drawer below grill need to have correct date marking information, corrected; C — sanitizer dispenser is not dispensing at correct concentration, corrected/called for service; C — working spray bottles need to be labeled with common name, corrected; NC — dish machine water temperature needs to be at 120 degrees or higher, corrected/ called for service.
