GREENFIELD — A local disaster readiness group plans to host classes in February and March.
The Hancock County Community Emergency Response Team, or CERT, is a disaster preparedness program accredited by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, that will hold classes 6:30 p.m. Thursday Feb. 2, 9, 16 and 23, and March 2 and 9. CERT also will offer an all-day training from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 4 and 18 and March 4. All classes will have a final exercise March 11. Students may attend a mix of Thursday and Saturday classes in order to learn all the material covered.
