Joy K. Stickels, 90, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016. She was born on June 27, 1926, to the late Ernest and Aletha (Newman) Hite.
Joy was a 1944 graduate of Fortville High School and worked for many years as an administrative assistant at RCA. She was currently attending Greenwood Wesleyan Church, where she enjoyed volunteering. Joy was an incredibly talented seamstress and enjoyed making clothes for her friends and family.
She is survived by her sons, Kevin (Rhonda) Stickels and Brett Stickels; seven grandchildren, Joshua Stickels, Graham Stickels, Tristan Stickels, Jenna Manuel, Trey Manuel, Alena Manuel and Michael Manuel; one great-grandson, Adrian Phillips.
Joy was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wayne Stickels; and brother, Dale Hite.
Funeral services for Joy will be held at Noon on Thursday, January 5, at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenfield Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Greenwood Wesleyan Church.
