Richard Nolan Rehm, 55, of McCordsville answered his Final Call on December 24, 2016, in route to assist those in need and his brother firefighters. Rich was born August 11, 1961, in Greensburg, Ind., to Richard Ernst and Bonnie L. (Allen) Rehm.

He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Ball State University while a member of Delta Chi Fraternity. He was a family man who collected Cincinnati Reds memorabilia, enjoyed a quiet afternoon fishing and never missed an Indy 500. At the age of 18, Rich became a volunteer firefighter. He served McCordsville Volunteer Fire Department for the past 16 years and had been awarded his 25 year pin by the Indiana Volunteer Firefighters Association.

He is survived by his dear children, Jacob, Jeremiah, Taylor and Baily Rehm; his loving mother, Bonnie Rehm; dedicated siblings, Rob Rehm, Darla (Robbie) Rayne, Ernie (Jennifer) Rehm and Angel Rehm as well as, a host of nieces, nephews, friends and brother firefighters.

Rich was preceded in death by his father Richard.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2017 at Mt. Vernon High School. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3, at the high school. Internment follows at St. Paul Cemetery, St. Paul, IN.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the McCordsville Fire Department.
