Carolyn Christine Groschelle, 71, of New Palestine, passed away on December 22, 2016, at Medodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on Jan. 23, 1945, in Indianapolis, to William “Art” Williams and Virginia (Stroud) Williams.
She later met and married Dale Groschelle they had been happily married for many years prior to his passing. Carolyn received her Associate’s degree in nursing. After completing her education, she worked as LPN for Methodist Hospital until the time of her retirement. She enjoyed traveling, going on cruises, but her greatest source of joy was the time she shared with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren whom she loved so very much and her dog, Rambo.
Carolyn is survived by her son, Tommy (Angel) Collins; daughter, Vonda (Scott) Deaton; sister, Shirley Kaler; sister, Loretta Weddle; brother, Bob (Mary) Williams; as well as three grandchildren, Damon, Jacob, and Morgan.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services for Carolyn will be held at Noon on Thursday December 29, with visitation from 10 a.m. to Noon prior to service at Hendryx Mortuary – New Palestine Chapel, 19 East Main St. New Palestine, IN 46163. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Hendryx Mortuaries.
