FOOD SAFETY INSPECTIONS
The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually, and violations are labeled “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

Violations found: C – dirty knife stored with clean knives, corrected; NC – black carts need to be cleaned to remove food residue, to be corrected by March 1.
Little Caesar’s Pizza
Location: 1633 N. State St., Greenfield
Type of Inspection: Routine
Violations found: C – hand washing sink may not be used for any other purpose, remove dirty equipment, corrected.

Waffle House
Location: 1752 N. State St., Greenfield
Type of Inspection: Routine
Violations found: NC – wiping cloths need to be stored in sanitizing solution between uses, corrected; NC – sandwich cooling unit needs to be cleaned as often as necessary to maintain cleanliness, to be corrected by March 1.
Subway
Location: 1965 N. State St., Greenfield
Type of Inspection: Routine
Violations found: C – meatballs not hot enough, corrected; C – sanitizing solution too strong, corrected; NC/R – thermometer needs to be in each refrigerator on the line, corrected.
