Ruth Lenora (Lamon) Campton, 94 of Knightstown, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Country Home Manor in Charlottesville. Ruth was born June 9, 1922, the daughter of the late Chester and Martha (Riley) Campton.
Ruth was a cook for Head Start of Knightstown for sixteen years. She was an avid antique collector who loved her grandchildren and family. Ruth was a member of the Greensboro Nazarene Church.
Survivors include her sons, Joseph (Linda) Campton of Greenfield, David (Linda) Campton of Shirley; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Ora Campton; four brothers; and two sisters.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 22, at Noon at the Condo and Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Pastor Randy Badgley officiation. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown.
