The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually, and violations are labeled “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

Dec. 2

Speedway

Location: 1253 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: C — corn dogs on roller are not hot enough, corrected/discarded; NC — hot water in restrooms is not hot enough, to be corrected by March 1.

Dec. 6

Treat America Food Service

Location: 400 W. New Road, Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: C/R — sliced and shredded cheese stored on ice is too warm, corrected; C/R — fish, chicken patties, hamburgers not being held at 135 degrees or higher, corrected; NC — ice scoop on counter, corrected.
