It’s hard to be a Grinch in pajamas

GREENFIELD — Families are invited to a special showing of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 21 at the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road. Attendees are invited to come in their pajamas and bring a blanket to stretch out on and watch the show. Included in the event is a holiday craft and hot chocolate. Visit hcplibrary.org to register.

Coulter artwork now at Greenfield Banking

GREENFIELD — The artwork of Patty Coulter will be on display through the end of December in Greenfield Banking Company’s second floor art gallery at 1920 N. State St. Coulter has enjoyed painting with watercolors for 23 years. She also enjoys working with acrylics, oil and calligraphy. She is a member of the Indiana Watercolor Society and has won awards at county and state fairs in Indiana and California. The gallery will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Santa’s House hours announced

GREENFIELD — The Santa House, located on the Hancock County Courthouse Plaza, will be open the following hours: from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 9; from 2 to 5 p.m. Dec. 10 and 11; from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 16 ; from 2 to 5 p .m. Dec. 17 and 18; and from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 23. Photos with Santa are $5 with the proceeds going to Riley Children’s Hospital.

Indiana University opens Assembly Hall for tours

BLOOMINGTON — Assembly Hall, 1001 E. 17th St., is now open for the first time for self-guided public tours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday except on game days.
