Jerry Lee Smith
Jerry Lee Smith, 84, of Wilkinson, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016, at his residence. He was born November 1, 1932, in Maxwell, Ind., the son of the late Everett and Ada (Bolander) Smith.
Jerry retired from Guide Lamp in Anderson after 42 years of service, was a lifelong farmer, and a member of Shiloh Christian Church. Jerry helped his wife Ruth with Bridal Catering for many years and was an avid noodle maker for the church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and father-in-law.
Survivors include two sons, Michael (Lynn) Smith of Fountaintown, Steve (Lisa) Smith of Shirley; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth Smith in 2007; daughter, Jerene Smith; grandson, Thomas Smith; brothers, Marcus and Robert Smith; sisters, Betty Baer and JoAnn Hammer.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, December 14, at Condo and Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, December 15, at the funeral home with Pastors Fred Girdwood and Mike Smith officiating. Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson.
