Robert L. “Bob” Waterman, 77, of Charlottesville, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at his residence. He was born November 29, 1939, in Indianapolis, the son of Robert C. and Mary F. (McDonald) Waterman.
On July 28, 1961, he married his wife of 55 years, Barbara L. Grant, and she survives.
Bob graduated from Franklin Central High School in 1957. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Greenfield. Bob was a truck driver for Dixie Midwest for over 30 years, retiring in 1993. He enjoyed fishing in the Ohio River.
Bob is also survived by his son, John Waterman and wife, Becky, of Shelbyville, Joe Waterman and wife, Marsha, Jay Waterman and wife, Tammy, Jeff Waterman and wife, Stacy, and Jim Waterman and wife, Amy, all of Carthage; sister, Pat Markins of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Josh, Justin, Elli, Jared, Abby, Krissy and Dani; and great-grandson, Jaxson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Heather Waterman Huneycutt; and brother, Dick Waterman.
Graveside services will be observed at Hanover Cemetery in Shelby County.
Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 124 E. North St. in Morristown.
