Janet Marie Best, 88, passed away on November 29, 2016, at Community North Hospital.
Janet graduated from Markleville High School, cloass of 1946. She was a homemaker in Pendleton and Fortville area most of her life.
She was a member of Eden United Methodist Church, Eastern Star #149, Fortville Chapter, Hoosier Cushman Club and Markleville Alumni. She was an avid euchre card player and gardener. She enjoyed crocheting and baking.
Janet is survived by her children, Sandra (Jim) Best, Sharon (Phil) Bogan, and son, John Best; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband of 54 years, James Maurice Best and her parents.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, December 2, at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St. Anderson, IN. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Mechanicsburg Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.
