Vehicle crashes into restaurant

McCORDSVILLE — A vehicle crashed into a McCordsville restaurant Saturday afternoon, sending several people to the hospital with minor injuries, fire officials said.

Rescue crews were called about 3:15 p.m. Saturday after a sedan crashed into the Los Agaves Grill, 5965 W. Broadway St., McCordsville.

Three people who were inside the restaurant at the time of the crash were transported to area hospitals with minor injuries, officials with the McCordsville Fire Department said.

The driver of the car was identified as a 17-year-old girl with a learner’s permit, according to dispatch records. She was not injured, officials said.

The restaurant suffered no structural damage. Its front windows were shattered but have been boarded up until they can be repaired, records show.
