Allen Thompson, 76, of Fortville died Saturday, November 26, 2016, at home surrounded by his family. He was born February 8, 1940, in Hamilton County to the late Robert E. and Elsie (Newby) Thompson.
Allen is survived by his children, Penny Goff of Fortville, Jeffrey Thompson of Fortville, and Chris (Lacey) Thompson of Ingalls; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and brothers, Dale Thompson of Texas, Jerry Thompson of Kentucky, David Thompson of Anderson, and Steve Thompson of Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marsha Thompson in 2005; son, Tracy Thompson; a great-granddaughter; and brothers, Larry Bowen, Paul Thompson, Michael Thompson and James Thompson.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. A celebration of Allen’s life will be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville at a later date.
