Ivan Whiteside, 92, of Greenfield, died on Friday, November 18, 2016, at Springhurst Health Campus in Greenfield. He was born on August 4, 1924, in Hancock County to the late Horace and Bertha (Harting) Whiteside.
Surviving Ivan is his daughter, Loretta (Chris) Goff; son, Larry (Carol) Whiteside; and daughter, Rhonda (Bill) Knarr; eight grandchildren; 22 great and stepgreat-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death is his wife, Opal Whiteside; an infant son, Lester Lee Whiteside; brother, Donald W. Whiteside; and sister, Arnella Bragdon.
The family wishes to thank the kind, caring, and compassionate nurses and staff at Springhurst Health Campus in Greenfield for taking care of Ivan.
Pastor Steve Rayburn officiated the private service for the family. Burial was held at St. John United Church of Christ Cemetery in Cumberland.
