Marjorie Fern Beckner Meeks, 94, of Largo, Fla. passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016, at Belleair East Health Care Center, Clearwater, Fla. Marjorie was born in Pendleton, to Floyd Beckner and Cecile Trees Beckner on December 11, 1921.
She married James Robert Meeks (a high school classmate) on September 29, 1940. James passed away in 2000. Marjorie’s only sibling, a younger sister Helen Mae Beckner McMahon, passed away August 14, 2016.
Marjorie is survived by a son, Michael A Meeks (Dianne) of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; daughter, Linda M. Pollock (Dean) of Latrobe, Penn., two grandchildren; a great-grandson; and brother-in-law, Gerald McMahon of Canton, IL. She is also survived by several cousins all from the state of Indiana.
A funeral service was at 11 a.m., Monday Nov. 21, at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Rd. Largo, FL 33774. Visitation was a hour prior from 10 -11 a.m. at the funeral home.
