Shop Small in Greenfield

GREENFIELD – Shop small in Greenfield on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 26. Small Business Saturday is a national shopping event the day after Black Friday to encourage holiday shoppers to patronize local business. Shop Small Welcome Centers, located at the Creative Arts and Event Center, 2 W. Main St., and Penny’s Florist, 1311 W. Main St., will distribute shopping bags with coupons and flyers for Saturday-only sales and special offers throughout the holiday shopping season.

Holiday bazaar coming

GREENFIELD — Greenfield Central High School hosts its third annual Christmas Bazaar from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 3 in the high school cafeteria, 810 N. Broadway. The bazaar, sponsored by the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America and the FFA, invites attendees to shop for the holidays. The funds raised go towards leadership training and operating expenses.

Community tree to be lit

FORTVILLE — Fortville’s 4th Annual Christmas tree lighting event is from 5:15 to 7:15 p.m. Nov. 30 at the McCordsville Town Hall, 6280 W. County Road 800 N. Included in the event will be musical entertainment, crafts, letters to Santa and Santa’s arrival. The finale of the evening is the official lighting of the Christmas tree by a McCordsville Elementary School student. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served inside Town Hall at the end of the program.

Bazaar adds to celebration

CARTHAGE — As part of A Holly Jolly Carthage Christmas, Walnut Ridge Friends will host its annual Christmas Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Carthage Community Center on the corner of Main and Mill Streets. The bazaar features homemade pies and other bakery goods, caramel corn, Christmas and home décor, new and gently used gift items, craft items and locally-made jams and jellies. The event also features cookies and candies sold by the pound at the Cookie Counter. All proceeds go to support church mission projects.
