William E. Miller
William E. Miller, 65, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016, at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born on November 11, 1950, in Indianapolis as the son of Morse and Marjorie (Dellinger) Miller.
He graduated from Warren Central High School in 1969. He served in the Army during Vietnam from 1969 to 1971. He married Cynthia Kay (Graddy) on February 12, 2005 in Greenfield.
William worked for Allison Transmission as a job setter for 30 years before retiring in 2006. He also worked at the Hancock Hope House as a night monitor. William enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and sports. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
William is survived by his wife, Cynthia Miller of Greenfield; children, William (Katrina) Miller II of New Palestine, Heather (Craig) Stephenson of Pendleton and Justin (Bethany Joslin) Leary of Greenfield; brothers, Tim (Jill) Miller and Robert Miller; sister, Linda (Rodney) Wire; grandchildren, Haley Stephenson, Alexandra Miller, Casey Miller and Jeremy Joslin; and several nieces and nephews.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Morse and Marjorie Miller; brother, David Miller; and niece, Michelle Mason.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40. Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. Pastor Roger Kinion will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent directly to the Hope House, 35 East Pierson St., Greenfield, IN 46140, or envelopes will be available at the mortuary.
