MCCORDSVILLE — McCordsville Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened early Monday at a local gas station, officials said.

Police say two men entered the Village Pantry, 5964 W. Broadway St., around midnight and pointed a handgun at the clerk while demanding money.

The clerk told police she handed the men some cash from the register. Before the pair left the area, they threatened to come back and kill her if she called the police, she told investigators.

The suspects were described as one white male and one Hispanic male wearing dark clothing. No other information was available.

McCordsville detectives believe the robbery is connected to a similar incident that happened early Monday in Lawrence, where several men entered a gas station on 56th Street in Indianapolis — amount five miles from the McCordsville gas station — and demanded money.

Both cases are still under investigation, officials said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the McCordsville Police Department at 317-335-2812.
